Detailed Description
Dear Parent/Guardian,
As part of the Engineering course that your learner is studying, we are organising an educational trip to Brooklands Museum in Weybridge.
Learners will have the opportunity to explore this famous museum, which is home to classic racing cars, vintage aircraft, and the award-winning aircraft factory. They will walk in the footsteps of the motorsport and aviation pioneers who broke boundaries in endurance and technology, helping to shape Britain as we know it today.
The trip will take place on 11th November 2026 and is open to Year 2 Aeronautical Engineering learners. Learners will travel to Brooklands by coach. Please arrive at the College by 9:00am to allow time for registration and boarding. The coach will depart shortly afterwards and is expected to return to the College at approximately 4:00pm.
Learners are asked to bring a packed lunch and a refillable water bottle for the day. Alternatively, there is a café on site where food and drinks can be purchased should they prefer.
The cost of the visit is £26.00 per learner, which covers both coach travel and admission to Brooklands Museum.
To confirm your learner's place on the trip, payment must be made via the College Store. The deadline for payment is 19th October 2026.
In addition, parents/guardians, or learners aged 18 or over, must complete and sign the attached consent form. Please return the completed consent form to the Engineering email address engineering@farn-ct.ac.uk as soon as possible.
A learner's place on the trip can only be confirmed once both payment and a completed, signed consent form have been received. Unfortunately, learners will be unable to attend the trip if either of these requirements remains outstanding.
If you have any questions regarding this visit, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours Faithfully
Jonathan Li
Lecturer in Engineering
