Detailed Description

Dear Parent/Guardian

I am arranging a visit to the Emmanuel Centre in London (9-23 Marsham Street, London, SW1P 3DW) on Wednesday 6th December 2017.

We have the opportunity to take part in the Art in Action programme where students are able to meet and learn from four of the country’s leading internationally recognised artists working in different areas and hear how ideas become art.

We will be travelling to London Waterloo by train, leaving Farnborough Main train station at 9.00 am and returning for approximately 5.30 pm. Can students please meet the lecturers at the Farnborough Main Station at 8.45 am. This is an all-day event and we will be leaving London at approximately 4.00 pm.

The cost of the entrance fee is £27.60. This will need to be paid by Friday 20th October 2017 in order for us to secure any tickets.

Students will then need to pay for their train fare on the day of the trip. The cost of this is approximately £22.00 bought individually, but on the day we may be able to get a group saving so the ticket may cost approx £20. If your son/daughter could bring £25.00 for the train ticket that will cover the cost.

Your son/daughter will need to bring a packed lunch, digital camera and a notebook in order to record observations made on the day along with wearing sensible footwear and clothing that takes into account the weather conditions on that day.

Students must stay for the whole duration of the day; they will not be allowed to leave early.

Every student needs to complete a permission slip which has been given to your son/daughter, without this the student cannot attend. Please return this permission slip to Jane Habgood via your son/daughter by Friday 20th October 2017.

If you have any questions regarding the visit please do not hesitate to contact me on 01252 407270 or via email j.habgood@farn-ct.ac.uk

Yours sincerely

Jane Habgood, Course Tutor Art & Design, Faculty of Enterprise and Creative Arts
